We were in four states in one day. Woke up in Idaho and went to bed in South Dakota. We made it to Sturgis to sleep.

We drove north towards Eugene, Oregon. We got dinner and slept here before heading north to Portland. We spent the day in Portland where neither of us had ever been. It was cool seeing Burnside. We got good food and got to see the city.

We got into Seattle at night and met up with Lisa Gallo.

We left San Francisco late due to some car problems but we made it to Eureka. We woke up and drove on the coast to Crescent City.

We pulled over as soon as we saw the beach and walked to the water. We found this about 100 feet from the water. It was about 4 feet long.

After Crescent City, we headed in the the Jedidiah State Park. The trees here are unreal. No pictures can do them justice. It was amazing.

We made it to Long Beach by Friday evening and we were there until Monday morning. We cooked, we baked cookies, we played board games, we went to the beach, we skated..the weekend was perfect.

Miracle flight to Dallas

They canceled my flight to Dallas after a 4 hour delay. They changed the plans after the cancellation and gave us the go ahead. I had a layover in Houston which I obviously missed. After I landed in Houston at about 12:18am, I checked my connecting flight just to humor myself...the flight had been delayed four hours, to leave at 12:30am. I sprinted to make it the gate on time to find out that it had been further delayed to 2:30am. Finally, boarded the flight and landed in Dallas around 4am...five and half hours late.

After sleeping in San Salvador, we started our journey back south. We stayed in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua for our last couple days where we spent our time surfing.

We got on a bus and made it to Alajuela, Costa Rica just in time to eat at the best restaurant down there, called Jalepenos. We woke up the next day to catch our flight home.

After Belize, we went to the island of Utila in Honduras, where I managed to not take a single photo. After Utila, we went to El Salvador to surf. La Libertad, El Salvador provided us with eight to ten foot waves consistently for three days.

We left Caye Caulker and headed east towards the Belize Zoo.
This zoo was not a typical zoo. It was very animal friendly and rehabilitated animals to release back into the wild. They also housed animals that would not survive in the wild.

From Mexico, we headed south to Belize. We made it to Belize city just in time to make the ferry to Caye Caulker.

We headed a few hours north of Tulum up to Playa del Carmen, where we spent a few days. We took a boat from here to the island of Cozumel. These two cities are huge tourists destinations. I think it is the color of the water that is attracting so many people.

After Tikal, Guatemala, we took a bus through Belize and into Mexico. Our first destination in Mexico was Tulum. It was amazing here.

We missed our bus trying to get to San Salvador so we ended up going to Lago de Yojoa in Honduras. This place was truly amazing.

We got in late at night, so the next day we grabbed the canoe and embarked on a journey.

The plan was to make it across the lake but the skies were beginning to turn on us.

It began to rain and the water became choppy. Luckily, a local, in a small motorboat, towed us back to shore.

Of course, the next day was gorgeous.

Chris and I headed to a small mountain town in Panama called Boquete. We walked to a river one day where we both went white water rafting without the rafts. One of the funniest and scariest things I have ever experienced.

The second day we were in Boquete, we decided to hike the highest peak in Panama, Volcan Baru. It was a very tiring six hour hike up and we slept at the summit to watch the sunrise. The peak is around 11,400 feet and from there you are able to see the Pacific Ocean and the Carribean Sea due to its location in the narrow part of Panama.

Chris and I left Pavones, Costa Rica and headed west to Panama. We got through the border of Paso Conoas into Panama. We took a bus from the border to David and then headed north to Bocas Del Toro.

We had a long day on the bus but made it to Pavones just in time to find our hostel.

We stayed at this hostel one night and then we headed eastward down the beach to the next town.

It was a 5 kilometer walk, so luckily we got picked up by a fruit truck.

We sat here for 6 hours waiting for a ride back.

The first day we were in Montezuma, we all hiked back to Montezuma Falls. It is a beautiful 40 foot waterfall that pools into the top of a 60 foot waterfall.

We stayed in Alajuela for two days and then we headed to Montezuma. After a taxi ride to the highway to a 2 hour bus ride standing up to a ferry ride to another 2 hour bus ride, we finally made it to Montezuma.

I have been in Indy since Christmas and its been cold and snowy the whole time. New years eve was a lot of fun and it was good to see everyone.

Chris Sutherland, Buddy Best, Andy Kormos, Myself and few others are headed to Costa Rica on Monday to escape this winter. Chris and I will be with everyone until they head back to the states and then we are going to be traveling around all Central America.

Tomorrow is my last day here before we head up to Chicago on Sunday to catch our flight to San Jose, Costa Rica. I will post pictures and what is going on as much as possible. I am not sure how often we will have access to the internet.

We made it to Salt Lake City by 2 am and got a hotel room. We woke up and back tracked twenty miles to the Great Salt Lake.

This is the only feeling my mind is allowing me to feel after today. Today was my last day of work after 13 months of a 40 hour a week office job. I have 8 days left in Arizona before I pack my car to the brim with everything I own and head west before heading back to Indiana for Christmas.
